I bought twelve tiny pots of mums at Wal Mart late last fall when everything
was either dying out or sold out. They were cheap, cheap. I planted them
the only place I had, rocky, dry, soil in full sun, and they grew and
bloomed beautifully. They are all back again this spring, two varieties
much hardier than the others, but they all grew. I do water them every now
and then. It is beginner's luck, in my case. We'll just see if they
decide to flower this fall. Now if I could only get my columbines to
grow...
