For dahlia culture, try going to http://www.dahlia.com. They have
everything you wanted to know about dahlias. I believe that this site is
run by the national dahlia society, so the information is very trustworthy
and thorough. They have links to several other dahlia sites, including
ones with lots of pictures and garden design ideas.
