THANKS~! and another question....

I just wanted to say THANKS!

I subscribe to this list at my work email... I never have time for my PC
at home, and it is a nice break from my daily workload. I'm learning a
lot! You all are so patient with newbies!

I received so many great tips for my dahlias/daylillies/etc. from my
post the other day! Already I've gotten a ton of answers to questions I
didn't know to ask!

My garden/yard is coming along... slowly but surely. Thanks to various
garden web pages, and books like the Sunset Western Gardening book (why
do I feel like this is the first of many many many many many dollars I
will spend on garden books????), and this net group!

In fact, I'm doing SO ok, that my husband has asked that I stay away
from all the nurseries/anyplacethatsellsplants so we can eat something
other than peanut butter sandwiches, and pasta dishes... Gosh, he can be
sooooo picky. ha!

Soooo, for a while I will buy seeds (and pots, and soil, and all those
teensy little slip into the garden area of the garage until you need
them accessories) and do a lot of reading in my garden book. I walk
thousands of miles in my nonyard, mentally mapping out what will go
where (when I get it), and what it will look like (if I don't kill it).

Yes, I am addicted. I wonder what the 12 steps for plantaholics would
be? 12 steps between plants? But, for now, I have some seedlings I
have to separate and plant in the numerous little peat pots I have stuck
away behind my husband's powertools...

Question: I love Lantana. But, I can't find any here in the nurseries.
My mother is bringing some cuttings when she comes to visit this
summer. Has anyone on the list ever grown Lantana successfully in this
neck of the woods? Or, is just too darn cool and wet to come out on
top?

Thanks!
