Sandy,

I've got a Niobe, Henryi and Jackmani all training to one trellis and
also planted this spring.  Niobe has 2 buds ready to open already with
the others having 1 bud each.  I was advised to prune in the fall after
blooming or in the spring before new growth because they all flower on
the current season growth.
