Nancy, you might want to consider Akebia quinata, Fiveleaf Akebia. It has
wonderful, distinctive, blue-green foliage through December in Zone 6, maybe
longer in warmer climates. The flowers are rosy purple, but they are partly
hidden by the foliage. It is slightly fragrant. If you have two for cross-
pollination, it also bears interesting fruit (violet-purple pods). It grows
20 to 40' and can be agressive, so you have to keep it in check. I think it
is a stunning vine.
