You guys seem to come up with such wonderful ideas, I have a question
for you.
I need some suggestions for perennial vines, preferably evergreen and
flowering, to plant on a trellis. We put the trellis up to screen the
view of our deck, and planted clematis there. Then, I learned that the
clematis need to be pruned way back annually, so they really aren't
accomplishing what we had hoped for...
We're in zone 7, hot and muggy with minimal rain in the summer, the spot
is what I would consider "dappled shade", with direct sun in the late
morning. Permanent companions are white crape myrtle (blooming now) and
pink and fuschia azaleas in the spring. Most of the other plants in the
area are in containers, and can be shifted around as necessary. What do
you think??
Thanks for your help!
Nancy Lowe
Arkansas, zone 7
