Re: Linaria purpurea-would you grow this plant?

I was just visiting a garden on Wednesday that had Linaria purpurea
blooming, along with L. 'Canon J. Went'. These were interspersed throughout
the garden, but I wouldn't say they were invasive. I thought they added a
special charm and can't wait for my L. 'Canon J. Went' babes to do their
thing. I liked their height in the front of the border, also. Kind of a
see-through plant.

Another plant that was scattered throughout the garden was a white
penstemon. Similar flowers to P. digitalis 'Husker Red'. Apricot single
poppies added little rays of sunlight. What a pleasant sight!

However, I was with an English friend and she doesn't think they should be
introduced.

They don't appear to be difficult to pull if they pop up where you don't
want them.
