I've dried them by just hanging them upside
down on a drying rack (for clothes).
Rubberband the stems, partially unfold a paper
clip (to an "S" shape), slip one loop through the
rubberband and one loop onto the rack. They
need to be in a fairly dark place so they won't
lose their color.
I remember hearing that they could also be
dried by leaving them in a vase with 1 inch of
water and letting that evaporate and them dry
naturally.
A friend of mine has gorgeous wreaths of
hydrangeas and she says she just picks them
and wraps them on the wreath fresh and then
lets them dry on the wreath.
One thing I did hear is to pick them near the
end of the season because they are naturally
drier then. This doesn't really work in Oregon
because by then their beaten up by rain. I
picked them at peak and did the hanging and it
worked well.

My hydrangea bushes are blooming for the
first time in 3 yrs. I'm not sure
the type of bush but the flowers are about 7" in
diameter with pale pink to
light green petals. They're so beautiful & I'd
love to preserve them by drying
them. Does anyone have any suggestions?
TIA
