TANSY

Hi

I've been lurking on this list for about a month now. I've really
learned a lot from all the experienced gardeners. Thanks to all of you.
I have several questions, and hope that someone can help me.

I live in Hamilton, Ohio, zone 6 (right now the rain capital of the
state of Ohio) and have a Tansy in a container. It is growing like a
weed in this pot. My question is, can it be planted in the ground? How
hardy is it for zone 6. Does it spread and want to take over where ever
it is planted? My ground is almost 100% clay. What to I need to do to
prepare the ground for the Tansy?

I am also in the process of planting a perennial garden. So far, I have
Hosta, Shasta Daisy's, Sweet Williams, Gayflowers, old fashion
Buttercups, coneflowers and Iris. The bed is on the northwest side of
my house. It gets the hot afternoon sun and the blunt of bad weather.
Can someone tell me someother perennials that like this type of
conditions? Also, my Sweet Williams have quite blooming and the heads
have what looks like seeds. I would like more Sweet Williams, so if
these are seeds, when do I plant them?

Looking forward to any help.

Cathy (another new gardener in Ohio)
