Hi Janice
I have Centaurea macrocephala (Golden Thistle) and have had for a long
time. It is a striking plant. The leaves are soft and I always get
seedlings. Easy to remove the excess. Stands upright and needs no
staking. Of the three, c.montana, c.macrocephala and c.dealbata, I like
dealbata best, macrocephala and then montana. The only reason montana is
last is because it sprawls out and lays down. I need to better place it
so it's growth habit doesn't cover up other nearby plants.
