Marie,
I live in Montreal (zn4b) and plant glads each year. I am usually
notoriously lazy in the fall and just leave them in the ground to die and rot
out (which they do, every year). This year, after the famous El Nino
winter, I was shocked to see that all of my glads have come up again!
I'm not counting on seeing this behaviour from them ever again, as I know
that they have never been a perennial for me (would be nice, though!).

Thanks for letting me know that, Carolann. I also planted some near the
garage, which faces West. I think I will leave all of them in and see what
happens.
We also had pretty much a "non" winter this year, so I wonder if that had
something to do with it.
Marie
