There are hardy cyclamens that like dry shade. Many spring bulbs (winter
Aconite, crocus etc.) do not like wet feet. Native western purple (actually
magenta) Geraniums (G. caespitosum) do ok in dryish shade, but will thrive
with an occasional watering. Solomon's Seal (Polygonatum cobrense) may grow
for you as well. Also try Mariposa Lilly.
