also try the campanulas. there are every shade of blue & purple you could imagine. I also slip some blue annual lobelia into my beds, along with ageratum. they are both gorgeous shades of blue. Ageratum come in a multitude of shades. Delphiniums are also an unbelievable spectrum of blue.
