There is a wonderful, formal garden in Salzburg that was part of the set
from the *Sound of Music* movie. It has beautiful formal plantings and
was well maintained 9 years ago when I was there. I can no longer recall
the name, but ask anyone where the garden with the stone statues that was
used in the *Sound of Music* is, and they'll point you in the right
direction. Or grab a brochure for the *Sound of Music* tour busses or
walking tours and find it from there. I envy you - it's a beautiful
city.
Munich and Neuschwanstein were wonderful too. I have not found anyone
that is not enthralled with the kitchen in that castle!!
