Re: Lungwort

Hi Janice,

I assume that the Lungwort that I have is Mrs. Moon. It has both purple and
pink flowers on the same stalk. It is stunning when it is in bloom. Mine
is planted on the east side of my house, so it gets all of the morning sun.
In spite of that, it bloomed beautifully this spring. I just put it in last
summer and had not seen it bloom before. Everything I've read says that it
should be in the shade, but except for the wilting, mine has done very well
in the morning sun. It get about 4-5 hours of sun. After it finished
blooming, it looked pretty bad. The foliage lost its color, and it looked
like it was dying. I cut off the leaves that looked the worst, and it has
gradually come back. The foliage looks pretty good now. Also, we have had
a great deal of rainy weather, and it has not gotten much sun. I would like
to hear others experience with Lungwort. I hesitate to move it since it
really did bloom very nicely.
