Hi Marilyn
No, I haven't heard of Anthriscus-where is it available? Patrinia is
apparently a new plant according the Natureworks catalog. This is how it is
described:

"A great new plant for partial shade. Flowers resemble yellow Queen Anne's
Lace, foliage is a low rosette of serrated leaves. Blooms July onward. When
flowers are finished, the seed pods retain their yellow color and are quite
showy. It's hard to find this color in the late summer in the shade!"
There are three cultivars mentioned:
Patrinia gibosa-Oval rosette of foliage, 2' flower stalks, best seed pods.
Patrinia scabiosifolia (this is the one I have) large flowers on 12-18" tall
plants
Patrinia villosa-2-2' tall light airy mounds of white flowers, stolonferous.

I just planted yesterday (although my plant tag said full sun or partial
shade-it is in the sun) and has a flower bud. Will let you know what it is
like.

There is also another new flower that I want (Natureworks is all out) called
'Alamantha' turbith var haynaldii. I haven't seen it anywhere other than the
above mentioned place. Also resembles Queen Anne.
