Hi Jeanne,
Yes, they are lovely. I have them in with Nepetas and
Perovskias and an assortment of silver plants. They also look
great with bronze fennel. And they do seed about prolifically.
I just dig up the babies and give them to folks. They aren't
what I'd term invasive. They are sort of like Sidalcea in that.
So I mostly just let them go. 'Course I also have an envelope
in a ziploc bag with about 4 oz. of seed and I can't find it
anywhere. %-)
The only thing about your note that made me wince was WFF.
Don't get me wrong, they are a wonderful nursery, but I got 3
little guys from Bluestone Perennials for $8.00 and they bloomed
the first year. Anything that is "commonly found" please ask
friends, on lists, etc. before buying from the expensive guys ~
save yourself some $ for more plants.
