Hi, Marie,
Just got back from our Michigan Master Gardener's Confrence, and found 271
e-mails! So this may be late, but for understanding garden design I
recommend Janet Macunovich's 'Easy Garden Design'. Marvelous book from
Storey Press. Also recommend 'Caring for Perennials by Janet. Neither is a
'secector' type book. The first gives you the principles of desinging a
garden in a very easy to understand method, and the second tells you what to
do after you have planted them.
