I found a similar thing when I returned from the weekend. This is a good time
perhaps to remind people that if you are not making a substantive comment, you
should either refrain from posting to the list, or post it to the individual's
email address rather than fill all our mailboxes. This applies to thank
you's too--send them directly to the thankee, rather than everybody in the
perennial world. Perhaps this sounds harsh. However, there has been a lot of
action on this list lately, and lots of it very informative and useful. But
when the volume goes up people start to get tired of all the mail and that
begins the decline of the list. So think before you press the Send button
whether you are sending to the appropriate address.
