Re: Book resource
The funnest bookstore I went into was in San Diego nearly 10 years ago.
It was just down on the corner from my nephew's house and I loved to go
over there. My husband finaly put his foot down and wouldn't let me go
without him. He was afraid the freight back on too many books would
bankrupt him! And I don't even remember the name of the store. All used
and rare books. I found one on the history of oranges and orange growing
in California that was really a great little book. It gives an insight
into a subject I had never thought of before.
The most overwhelming bookstore I've been in is the Tattered Cover in
Denver. Just across the street from the Cherry Creek Mall. It was huge!
I doubt I seen 1/10 of the whole thing. Again I had my chaparone
(husband!) with me so I didn't indulge. It was startling to realize the
man beside me on a bench in the store reading a newspaper was a
sculpture! Nearly scared me to death....
