what is your experience w/boltonia.  I planted several boltonia
asteroides (Snow Bank??) this summer.  They sound great -- but have
never grown them before.  I put two of them and one Stella d'oro in a
whiskey barrel  (which is probably overcrowding too much -- since I did
not realize boltonias got so large -- 5 ft?).... and a single one in a
smaller pot

Ann,

Sounds like a smashing combo.  Aren't pots fun?  I just did one with a
ginger, aralia, leea (West Indian Holly), some green and white creeper that
I'm not sure of, and boltonia.  Should be interesting by the end of the
summer!
