Hello fellow gardeners!
As I've written earlier, I am moving house in late summer and our new
house is a clean slate as far as flowers and plants are concerned. I'm
taking a goodly amount of divisions with me upon moving, but here's my
question.
I love red flowers - most all kinds (I don't have much patience for
roses), and I'd like to hear about your favorite red flower. After
spending time in my garden this weekend, I realize I don't have much red
and want to remedy that at our new house. I have plenty of red dianthus
as well as the hurt-your-eyes-red monarda, but that's about it. I fill in
with red geraniums (the common variety - not cranesbill), and red
impatiens in the shade, but I'd like to hear about perennials that bloom
at any time of the year (except winter since I'm in Wisconsin and the
only red I see in winter is my nose!).
Thanks for your help.
