Re: Red?

Hi, Pat,

There are some gorgous red daylilies -- darks and brights, large &
small, early & late -- that could make quite an impact. If you have a
moist, semi-shady spot, lobelia cardinalis has wonderful red spires in
August (though mine will be in bloom in a week or two this year). There
are red peonies, red columbine, red mums, dark red clematis (see earlier
discussions in the perennials archives), red dahlias (some with great
dark foliage), red heleniums, red & black-red hollyhocks, red phlox,
pyrethrum, some sedums, many red lilies, and red foliage for fall.
Sounds mind-boggling and eye-popping! Have fun.
