Amsonia (was: Plants not yet discussed)

Hi, Ginny,

I have the tabernamontana (in two places) and a new hubrectii which is
still small but I've seen the mature ones and they are stunning! Good
idea about the flower arranging -- have you tried singeing the stems
first?

Your combo sounds terrific. Mine are in shady spots and I've never had
luck with cotynus here (but will not discuss that on the perennials
list). I sneak in some purple leaves with the annual perilla (which
self-seeds so it might as well be a perennial -- I planted one plant 6
years ago and have had it ever since) and those dark heuchera again.
Amsonia also looks good here with echinops and lilies, and does a good
job of disguising dying foliage of bulbs, particularly alliums.
