There have been some great ideas.... here are a few odd ones.... Red Devil
Verbena (V. peruviana), Red Yarrow "Paprika", Red Clematis, Red German Bearded
Iris, Japanese Blood Grass, Red Trillium (from seed), Claret Cup Cactus
(Echinocereus triglochidiatus), Red strain of Russell's Lupines, Agastache
ruperstris or A. cana, Red Potentilla, Penstemon barbatus, P. eatonii, P.
cardinalis or P. pinifolius, Ipomopsis aggregata (Scarlet Gilia), Stachys
coccinea (Scarlet Hedgenettle), Ipomoea coccinea (Scarlet Morning Glory),
Sedum Ruby Glow and Sedum Autumn Joy, Indian Paintbrush (Castilleja confusa,
C. integra, C. linariaefolia), Indian Blanket (Gaillardia pulchella),
Centranthus ruber, Red Mexican Hat Coneflower (Ratibida columnifera) and Red
Lobelia. If you lived far southwest I would say Ocotillo... it has a great
shape! Also "Red Yucca" (Hesperaloe parviflora) is pretty.
Blessings of the Midsummer Season!
