Re: dying fritillaria and Dying daffodils


Yep...bulbs need all the energy they can get from their leaves, and in the
case of F. imperialis, their stems to store for bloom the next year.  Best
is to learn to not see the ugly dying foliage if you can't find something
suitable to plant in front of it to hide it.

Doesn't take a lot of practice to develop selective vision, I've found.  I
can look at a real mess that I can't or don't want to deal with and not
even see it with only minimal practice:-)  Only problem is training garden
visitors not to see what you choose not to see, if you see what I mean:-)
