Geraniuim Johnson's Blue

Thanks everyone for all your help. From the detailed
decription from Barb and Tracy, I have to conclude
that my plant is not a geranium Johnson's blue. The
only problem is that I still don't know what it is. I
wish I did because it has become one of my favorites.
The flowers last forever and seem to bloom one stalk
at a time. The bloom starts out as little bright
purple flower buds all up and down the
stalk,,interspersed with the leaves. They slowly get
bigger and soon the stalk is covered with the
vibrantly purple flowers. A second stalk has started
now and the first one is still gorgeous...has been for
about 10 days now. At this rate it will take weeks
and weeks before all the stalks have bloomed and
faded. It is about 21/2 feet tall and very upright.
I don't know if it will flop later on, but so far so
good. We had a heavy rain a couple of days ago that
caused the demise of my 6 day wonder poppies but had
no eeffect on my pseudo-geranium. It just stands there
tall and proud as ever. I certainly would recommend
this plant to everyone as a wonderful addition to you
garden. If I ever find out what it is, I'll let you
know. Bill suggested I check out phlomis which I will
do today.
