Re: Mystery plant (geranium, Johnson's Blue?)

Hello Jeanne,
Thought I would jump in here and add to the confusion. There are two hardy
geraniums out there under the label of Johnson's Blue I have both here. One
in the garden and the ones in the nursery display area. The one I first
knew as Johnson's Blue is an upright growing with large leaves and
lavender-blue flowers with an almost shrub appearance. Very upright in
growth. Heavy bloomer. Very nice. I ordered some wholesale from The
Netherlands for the nursery and they are a spreader with deeper blue
flowers and smaller leaves. I have seen this in a couple of other nurseries
in the past.
The purple flowered plant you have is certainly not Johnson's Blue.
Perhaps the one not in bloom as yet may turn out to be the one you hope. I
saw where you got a web site to take a look at on the leaf outlines and
sizes. please let us know what you find. Be interested in the results.
