My mystery plant

Well, everyone has suggestions but I am still in the
dark. It is not phlomis because all the websites I
checked for phlomis said the flowers were yellow and
mine are a vibrant purple. The flowers are clusters
of little bells. Snap..I can hear your brains closing
like a steel trap on Campanula. I checked out the
website for Kent bells (?). The flowers are very much
alike, but the foliage is all wrong. I have Lady
Bells and Adenophora in my garden and it is neither of
these. Last summer I had canturbury bells so I know
what those look like and it's not that either. The
leaves are elo-o-ongated heart shaped. The edges are
smooth (not serrated) and although they don't look
fuzzy, when you feel them you discover they are. The
flowers start out on the stalk as small purple oval
shaped buds. As the flowers mature, they develop a
thin, fragile looking stem and a cluster of bell
shaped flowers at the end of the thin stem. These
flower clusters go all up and down the stalk,
interspersed with the leaves.
What more can I tell you. They are lovely.
