Mole Formula
If you are having problems with moles (or other small animals) try using this
formula to drive them out of your yard:
1/4 cup castor oil
2 Tablespoons of liquid detergent soap
Blend the two together in a blender (they won't mix properly otherwise)
Add 6 Tablespoons water.
Blend again.
Store this mix in a container till needed.
When you are ready to apply the solution to the area where the moles are
active:
Mix 2 tablespoons of the solution into 1 gallon of water. Pour it into the
problem area.
Good Gardening!

			QUICK FIX MIX: Moles-Away Spray

1 tablespoon castor oil
2 tablespoons liquid dishwashing soap
6 tablespoons water

Mix the oil and soap in a blender until the mix has the consistency of
shaving cream. Add the water and blend again.
In a watering can, mix 2 tablespoons of "mole mix" with 2 gallons of water.
Sprinkle the mix over mole-infested yard and garden areas.
Water the area before and after applying the repellent.
That way you're sure it soaks in.

Here's another I found:

In your blender, whip:
3 oz. of castor oil
3 tablespoons liquid detergent (I suppose this would work as well as
dishsoap).

Blend until frothy.
Add 8 tablespoons of water and blend again till frothy.

Using a 5 gal. Ortho hose-end sprayer, put 15 tablespoons of castor oil mix
in the jar. Fill remainder of jar with water. Attach sprayer to your hose &
spray castor oil solution to a strip around the perimeter of your yard.
Apply while walking at a slow pace.

After you've finished spraying the Castor Oil Mix, spray the same strip with
water. Repeat when you observe new mole activity. I don't do it every year.
I did it early last summer and haven't had them visit me since. Except -- I
live on a hill so didn't spray the highest part. A couple times, when its
been really wet, they came in at high ground. Otherwise, its been extremely
successful!! Tried watching for them with a potato fork in one hand, also
tried poison peanuts, traps, bombs, grub control, windmill -- the only thing
that's worked for me is the Castor Oil Treatment.
Note: you can buy Mole-Med and other brands of Castor Oil Treatment
but they are VERY Expensive!! They also say to do your entire yard which
isn't necessary. The moles won't go through the barrier around your yard a
second time!!
I'm rally glad to find the recipe formulated for a hose-end sprayer.
Originally did this with a sprinkling can. As you can imagine, we only did
it where they were active (not the whole yard)!!

Best Wishes to you all --
