Re: Tree Peony

<<My mother's tree peony flowered this year and is now
setting seed. She wants to know if she should sow the seed
as soon as they are ripe or would it be better to save them
and sow them next spring. Do they need any special
          conditions to germinate?>>

I heard Roger Swain say on the Victory Garden show yesterday
that the reason why tree peonies are so expensive is that
the are very difficult to propagate.
