RE: 800 orange tulips

Heather,
we received 30 twigs, and 100 dried up perennials from Rockwood
Gardens. So far the perennials are at about 90% survival and starting to
look good after 2 weeks and the 30 twigs
are about 75% after 1 week. They look like they are going to be good hardy
stock given "time".
You usually get what you pay for and it seems that "time" is money when it
comes to plants. :)

Please tell me if I jumped the gun or not. I usually buy my plants from
local nurseries but got an interesting nursery catalogue and placed an
order. It came on Friday and I was quite disappointed. My Tree
Wisteria was no bigger than a twig, there were no planting instructions
for anything, and my mixed bag of perrenials looked like 9 chopped off
Sweet Williams. After trying for several hours to get through to the
service department and getting only busy signals I resealed the box and
shipped it all back. Did I, in my disappointment, act hastily or is
this typical of most mail orders?

Do I eat humble pie or not?

Thanks,
Heather
