Re: catalog ordering

Welcome to the list, Diane. This spring, I did a series of 10 articles
about some of my favorite mailorder nurseries - online and off. The eighth
one was a potpourri of various ones including one that may be worth your
while - Gardens North. They are in Canada and specialize in plants for
gardens in cold zones. Url to that article is:
http://suite101.com/article.cfm/shade_gardening/16519

You can see the others by hitting the previous or next buttons at the top
or bottom of the article.

Last year, I did a series about online nurseries...four of them, I think.
Some of their sites may have changed a bit from when I reviewed them, but
they are good nurseries to know about. The URL to the first in that
series is: http://suite101.com/article.cfm/222/5330

I've also heard good things about Brentwood Bay Nurseries, Ltd. in Canada
from other Canadian gardeners. URL to their web site is:
http://www.coastnet.com/~plants/

Here are a few other Canadian nurseries who are online. I don't have
personal experience with them, but they may be worth your investigation:

Cusheon Creek Nursery : http://vvv.com/~amdigest/cusheon.htm
Hillcrest Harmony Flower: http://www.pacific-pages.com/putld/index.html
Inner Coast Nursery: http://oberon.ark.com/~innersea/ (mostly organically
grown fruit trees)
KNM NURSERIES INC.: http://www.iaw.on.ca/~nursery/index.html
JDS Gardens: http://www.jdsgardens.com/index.html
Rainforest Gardens: http://www.dsoe.com/rainforest/

Enjoy!
