I don't know if Val has already sent you this info on Thompson & Morgon (T&M)
or not...but it just so happens I have a huge stack of catalogs sitting on
the table next to the computer. Since I've been on the list I've referred to
them many times.
I'm looking at the catalog - I don't see a website but the 800 number is
800-274-7333....but when you get the catalog brace yourself......before even
opening it you might want to set your limit because if you are like me your
list will be very long which translates to very pricey.
I ordered 10 different seed packs this past year---the Larkspur (Frosted
Skies) I ordered did not germinate and when I called they promptly offered to
refund my money or send a new package, which ever I wanted. The only
negative I found was that 3 of the seed packets I ordered were on back order
and I had to wait 6 weeks for delivery. I know some would not find this a
negative but most of the seeds I ordered had to have cooler temps to
germinate......This year our cool temps went away very quickly. But whenever
I called to check on the backorder they were very courteous & friendly and
always offered to make an exchange or refund. Overall I would rate my
experience with them an A- (the minus only for being out of stock)
Oh by the way T & M page 14 have seeds for a wonder Poppy rhoeas 'Angels
Choir' Mixed (300 seeds/$3.19) beautiful pastels double flowers.
What I did before ordering with T & M, I compared Parks and Burpee with T & M
for price and quantity. This year I ordered with T & M, next year maybe
Burpee we will see. All of these have nice catalogs with lots of pictures.
A catalog for the more unusual seeds and sometimes more challenging is "Seeds
of Distinction" www.SEEDSofDISTINCTION.com or seeds@SEEDSofDISTINCTION.com.
This catalog does not have the cheapest seeds but you could end up with a
plant that no one else on the block has.
