I believe there was a recent discussion on this topic which I only skimmed.
Of course, now I am dealing with this myself. Actually the topic may have
been on garden theft, not deliberate, retaliatory vandalism.
I have had trouble some certain neighbors since they moved in, as have
others in the neighborhood. Last night I came home to some obvious
vandalism in the front of my garden, outside the fence line. Whole rose
branches (1/3 of a bush) broken off, whole perennials pulled up, etc. I
know this was not dog or rain damage because they were pulled up and
scattered around. Also understand it's not just random or "kid" stuff, this
is in direct response to steps we have taken with the police on other issues
with this problem family.
Then last night another neighbor had similar things happen to her, but they
were on her property 30' or more on her front porch dumping over pots, etc.,
and have actually stolen one as well, I guess.
Of course we filed police reports, but with no witnesses, nothing will be
done.
My point of this message was: Was the main consensus after all this was
discussed was that the only recourse is videotaping to catch the perps or
did I miss something else?

For mine is a little old fashioned garden where the flowers come together to
praise the Lord and teach all who look upon them to do likewise.
