Susan -
I hope you find these "kids" or whoever it is and the police make them come
out and help you repair the damage. If it is kids I think their punishment
should be helping in the maintenance of the garden for the entire season ie.
weeding, trimming, planting. Maybe if this could happen they would come away
from their shame a little smarter and more appreciative of the work and love
someone puts into their garden. Maybe they would even find a new past time,
instead of distruction, maybe they would want to spend their time making a
new garden in their yard next year. I bet they would even come to you for
advice or maybe a cutting or two. We can only hope.
