Hello Kemberly,
Never fear. These babies may be slow to emerge each year, but they more
than make up for it. The grow to full size real fast once they are up. Do
give them a bit of room as they will fill in the space. This fall they will
drop little bubils from between the leaf stalk and main stem to form new
little colonies for next year.
Your arrangement of colors sound rather pleasing. Like the foliage
accents.
