Help !!!!!!!!!
Folks
I'm in need of some help here. have you ever heard the expression
"dumber than dirt" well as of today that title has been taken "by
yours turly"
I have worried my self sick about my Poppies that I ordered from
Springhill and saying they are to blame because some of them didn't come
up and the ones that did, droped dead right before my eyes.
WELL yesterday my husband was cleaning out some boxes that I had
recieved flower in and brought some litature in for me to look at
before the threw it in the trash and here was a pamplet " Perennial
Planting Instructions and General Care " and there in front of my face
was Oriental Poppy quote "with the onset of hot hummer weather,
the leaves of Poppies die back......this is their normal summer
dormancy." unquote
this is probable the reason some of them didn't come up. I dug one of
them up and it's laying in the flower bed right now It's probable
dead now it's been exposed to the hot, dry, weather for days
now. I'm marking the locations of the others maybe closer to fall
all of them will come up
can someone comment and try to make me feel better, or maybe I just
need to be commited , because I remember reading about the dormancy
period, I'm telling you folks, I'm not playing with a full deck
here. I am so angry with myself
