Hi Ronnie,

There is a digest of the list available, but those pressed for time
tell me that they usually don't read it. But I know that others
do find it useful, and it really helps you read mail at your own
leisure.

majordomo does digests differently than most MLMs (Mailing List Managers).
The digest is actually a separate list than the main list, so you need
to subscribe to the digest *and* unsubscribe from the non-digest. To
do this, send mail to

   majordomo@mallorn.com

with the body of your message containing the two lines

unsubscribe perennials
subscribe perennials-digest

This information is also available at

   http://www.mallorn.com/lists/subscribe.html#perennials

but it's really only applicable to new users.

This brings up another point though... I would like to transfer this list
from majordomo to a different MLM called 'mailman' sometime soon. The
biggest advantage is Web-based list management for both users and
administrators. The software is relatively new and still experiencing
growing pains, but we have had good luck with it on other lists like
rose-list and community_gardens.

Chris
