I grow Palace Purple in almost full shade and the leaves stay a dark
purple, almost black at times. Mine increases and blooms every year. Except
this year something got to it and skeletonized the leaves completely before
I knew what it was or that it was on them. I still don't know what did it. I
do love (Heuchera) coral bells and have the Bressingham hybrids, Raspberry
Regal, Amethyst Mist, Chocolate Ruffles, and a couple of others whose names
I've forgotten at the moment. Try moving your Palace Purple into the shade,
I'm sure you will like it and the plant probably will like it better also.
