I have always been tempted to harvest one plant of that little yellow
mounding plant you described. It always blooms just about now in Ohio and
Indiana but I don't know what it is. Yes, I know it might be invasive in my
garden, but that is not what stops me. What stops me is thinking how
colorful that roadside would be if a couple thousand of us harvested one or
more of those plants. Not so much to look at after that, is it? Plus, I
certainly have no one's permission to do so. And it is not my property. So
what would give me the right to dig up that plant?
