Re: Hollyhocks

Louise

you know I don't have a problem with slugs or I've never seen any of
them around my place. now my cousin has them. what she did was use a
2 liter coke bottle, cut the top off and insert back into the bottle
and laid it down on the ground in the flower bed and the slugs go inside
the bottle and can't get out. I think that helped her problem.
my problem with the hollyhocks is the insects they eat holes in my
leaves and they look really ratty. by the time they quit blooming the
plant looks horrible and when I gather the seed I cut the plant down.
that's when I had 2 hollyhock plants, now I have none that are big
enough to bloom. my new ones are about 8 in" high. hoping they will
survive
