What a nice thing your husband did for you and your mom......I'm impressed
with the ordering part.
Sorry it sounds like we are all down on this plant but in all honesty I've
only tried this plant once ( I usually try things three times)...maybe I
purchased a poor specimen. I hope it will be a success for you. I think you
have the best chances if you have placed it somewhere with good air
circulation. I do remember someone mentioning the lifting of the
tuber......well I'm looking in the "Big Book" and it says under cultivation:
lift tubers before first frost and keep frostfree during winter, packed in
barely moist peat.
Propagation: C. atrosanguineus syn. Bidens - root basal cuttings with
bottom heat in early spring.
