On some plants I've ordered. I'm in zone 6b
calamagrostis ---- 'Strictus'
Hello Susan,
I don't grow C. 'Strictus', but do grow C. 'Overdam' which has a lovely pink
flush to the leaves. It is at present in full sun and I am going to move
it this spring to a bed that gets shade for part of the day. I felt it got
too hot last year and did not perform as well as it should have done, and I
understand Calamagrostis prefer cool temps. I cut some of the *flower
spikes* when they were open (purplish in colour) and they are still looking
good in their indoor display - if a little dusty. Pleased to see you are
getting interested in O.G.s :-).
