I'm not sure I'm seeing the "opposite," or perhaps I wasn't clear.  When I say
that goldenstar is "evergreen" I mean that it's out there and green NOW, has
been all winter.  In nature I'm sure it goes dormant during hot, dry summers --
many woodland plants do.  I water most everything throughout the summer (except
those things which WANT to be high and dry), so drying out is not something MY
woodland plants have to worry about.

Your plant, 'Allen Busey', just looks like an "improved" version of the species
(without going to look it up, I'm pretty sure it's a monospecific genus).  That
photo will certainly increase interest in goldenstar!
