I am not sure that would be an improvement, Hemerocallis have such heavy
petals with high water content, that after a day or two they are going to
start looking ratty.
There are a lot of nice Daylilies out there and with good planting one can
have flowers from late spring into fall.
Stella is a good landscaping plant, but I would not classify it as a great
flower.
What makes it so useful is that it does bloom a lot and when not in bloom it
does not look to bad. It is short, easy to grow and multiplies fast. Good
features for a commercial planting were maintenance is at a minimum.
