Hello Susan,
    I trimmed back all the caryopteris in the nursery pots yesterday. Will be
shaping up the ones in the garden today to keep them a bit smaller than they
normally get, and more full. They bloom on new wood and late in the summer so you
are Ok on trimming them back now.
