Well it is hard to forget something I never knew. I am really quite new
to growing bulbs, tubers etc. I came here to learn all you people have
to share. I have you hooked up to the borg now and will drain your
brains shortly.
I bought some asiatic lilies. I was surprised at the look of the bulb(I
guess it is called) It looked more like a loose artichoke. I thought I
got ripped off. But they are poking out of the ground so I guess I
planted them ok.
I never know what to do with bulbs once I buy them. They were purchased
in early February. I put them in the ground about two weeks ago after
keeping them in the closet which is cool and dark. Then I got to
worrying about them drying up or something and not keeping. So with the
warmer weather, zone 7, I put them in the ground.
I also bought a wisteria and kept it in the veggie drawer of the
refrigerater for a couple of weeks. It is sprouting out new leaves since
being in the ground a while.
I am just guessing with these things. I either guessed right or they
will all shrivel up and laugh at me later.
Thanks for the info from all of you. I appreciate the knowledge you all
share.
