/ Very interesting.  I certainly know the phenomenon (all too well) but
never heard it described that way.  I do believe I too will have

Blind daffodills are where you get lots of leaves but no flowers.  Last
year
in the UK many people experienced a high proportion of these and we
speculated it might have been due to the weather conditions in the previous
summer and autumn.
As I said, this year looks much better, and far less disappointing.
