Janis, that's just THIS week. NEXT week they'll move it all back! ;-)

I find it easier to stick with the basic old stuff that's been firmly agreed
upon. That way I don't have to try and keep up with all the proposed revisions,
rejected revisions, debates, arguments, criticisms, back-stabbing, political
intrigues, nationalism, and all the other stuff that goes on when scientists get
together (!!). Nomenclature isn't as "carved in stone" as we hobbyists sometimes
think; it's a very fluid, ongoing process. It's not at all like revising a
product catalogue or office procedure.

For the same reason, I don't go out and change my plant tags every time someone
proposes a revision to a genus. As long as the plant is correctly identified
(the biggest problem that we as hobbyists face), the name will always be valid
even if it's not the currently suggested name.
